Hello

Welcome

Calvary House Veteran Support is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization focused on community engagement, providing vital assistance to US Veterans and their families through dedicated efforts from our DL Team.

Calvary House - Community Engagement

The mission of Calvary House is to provide support to formerly deployed military men and women as they re-enter the community, as well as the families of deployed and returning soldiers by providing services that are consistently available, accessible, and responsive to the needs of individual service members, families, and groups seeking assistance. We will work within the community to contribute, facilitate, and promote awareness of the needs of our men and women in the armed services to the enrichment of all; and to provide high-quality, compassionate and comprehensive services to as many military personnel and their families as possible.

About Us

Calvary House was organized exclusively as a tax-exempt organization within the prescribed limits of §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Specifically, Calvary House will provide support and assistance to active and inactive military personnel and their families initially in the state of Michigan , and eventually throughout the U.S. We will provide support to formerly deployed military men and women as they re-enter the community, as well as the families of deployed and returning soldiers; provide spiritual and charitable support; assist in career preparation, job search and/or educational opportunities; coordinate recreational activities for spouses and children of deployed soldiers; and raise funds and awareness to counter the mounting number of war veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, shell shock, combat fatigue, military sexual trauma, and other emotional conditions.

Turn Your RV Into a Hero's Home

The Calvary House RVs for Veterans Program is a transitional housing initiative designed to combat veteran homelessness by repurposing donated recreational vehicles. Through this program, Calvary House accepts donations of working and livable RVs and travel trailers to provide immediate, dignified shelter for veterans in need. Instead of placing veterans in traditional shelters, we help fund long-term stays at RV parks and campgrounds, offering a stable, community-oriented environment where those who protected our country can transition and rebuild their lives.

  • Asset Donation: Generous individuals donate trailers and motorhomes that are fully operational and ready for occupancy.
  • Park Placement: Calvary House partners with local campgrounds and RV parks to secure safe, long-term plots with full utility hookups.
  • Operational Funding: The organization covers the monthly lot fees, utilities, and maintenance to ensure the veteran lives completely rent-free while stabilizing.
  • Wrap-Around Support: While housed, veterans are connected to community resources, healthcare, and benefit assistance to help them achieve long-term independence.

Strategic Donor Benefits

  • Tax Deductibility: Because Calvary House is a non-profit, donors can typically deduct the full market value of their accepted, livable RV from their federal taxes.
  • Hassle-Free Transition: The program handles the title transfer and logistics of moving the vehicle, saving the donor the time and expense of trying to sell an older unit.
  • Direct, Tangible Impact: Donors know exactly where their asset is going, providing an immediate roof over a veteran's head.

The Mission: Housing Those Who Protected Our Country

Right now, thousands of veterans who sacrificed for our freedom are facing homelessness. Traditional shelters are often overcrowded or temporary, leaving our heroes without a stable place to rebuild their lives.

At Calvary House, we believe every veteran deserves a safe, private place to call home. Through our RVs for Veterans Program, we accept donations of working, livable RVs and travel trailers and turn them into immediate transitional housing.

We don't just take your vehicle and auction it off. We place your donated RV directly into a local RV park or campground and fully fund the long-term stay, ensuring a veteran lives completely rent-free, safe, and supported.

What Types of RVs Do We Accept? To ensure our veterans are safe and comfortable, we strictly accept vehicles that meet the following criteria:

  • Livable Condition: No major structural damage, active roof leaks, or severe interior mold.
  • Working Utilities: Functioning electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems.
  • Operational: Tires, axles, and hitch mechanisms must be safe for transport (motorhomes must run and drive).
  • Clear Title: You must hold a clean, transferable title to the vehicle.
